Once your schedule is final, you may complete the FSU Request for Benefits form. Check to be sure all areas have been addressed correctly before submitting. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation email to your FSU email account stating the request form has been received by the FSU Student Veterans Center. Please keep this email for your records. Any additional documents must be sent to the FSU Student Veterans Center in order to complete the process. You must complete a new FSU Request for Benefits form, after registering for classes, for each semester you plan to use VA Educational Benefits.
VA Benefits System Changeover January 13, 2023
It is extremely important that you submit your Request for Benefits Form for Spring 2023 as soon as possible, otherwise your funding will be delayed.
Why: The current system for processing Veterans Affairs (VA) educational benefits is sunsetting on January 13; the replacement program will not be operational until late January.
Your course schedule must be set before submitting your RFB.
Following RFB submission, the FSU benefits team then verifies your schedule against degree requirements before certifying course enrollment to the VA; this is not an automatic process and can take up to 30 days to process per student.
