- Fill out and submit your FAFSA (Federal Application for Student Aid)
- Explore scholarships you may qualify for
- Make sure you have health insurance (note that health insurance purchased through FSU may be eligible for VA reimbursement)
- Complete the required forms:
- Request for Benefits Form (if you qualify for and plan to receive VA Education Benefits)
- Self-Identified Veteran Form (if you do not qualify for or do not plan to use VA Education Benefits)
- Out-of-State Tuition Waiver Form (if you are not a Florida resident)
- Be aware that FSU has Veteran Liaisons in administrative and academic units throughout campus to assist you
- Free academic tutoring is available through the FSU Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) and FSU Libraries
- Connect with other FSU student veterans:
- Veterans Student Union – Student veterans’ permanent seat in Student Government
- First Friday Feast – An on-campus gathering for free lunch each month
